Decide: The first part of career development is to make decisions.  

1. Do you want to get educated or not?  

2. If you want, then what would that be?  

3. After that, do you want to go for a job or not?  

4. If you get a job, do you want to continue working until you are able to do so?  

5. Are you ready to start something for yourself or not?  

These factors are the most important decisions that are going to make you a person who has a career. We, as human beings, can be born rich or poor based on our fate, but how to live on this planet is something we have to think about and decide. If you have money to live and if you think that you don't have to work for anyone or for anything, then there is no value in a career in your life. Some people are poor, and they go for a career to make money, and they work for money, live for money, and it goes on like that. In the new generation, we have all opportunities, offline or online. Just make a decision: do you want to do it or not? 

Thinking positively is another key factor in career development. The present world is full of opportunities; some people know what they are, and some others don't. So, when you think about starting, always try to think positively. If you think that you need to get an education but don’t have what is necessary for that, then don’t give up thinking negatively that you can’t do this because you don’t have what you need. Always think positively, and then you will try to find another way to move forward. If you decide to stop there and leave forever, then it's a full stop. If you think that you need to get a government job because those jobs are promising and have a future for a lifetime, then you will try for it. If you get, you win, and if you don't, then you are not losing. This is what it is like to think positively; it's not a loss, it's just another chance, and move ahead with this thought. If you have decided to do a private job and you are thinking that there is no job security for this because it’s private, then why don’t you think positively that this is also a job and you got it, you can earn. If you have decided to work online, then don't think that, What do I do if this online platform vanishes one day? Always think positively that there is a bright future, and it will be there always and till the end of this world, maybe even after. If you think that my business is going to end because of a lack of profit, then try to think positively: there is something going to happen that can change this situation, and all good times are going to come soon. 

To develop a good long-term career, we need to know what kinds of development strategies are used in career development. Mostly, there are five types of development. They are,  

1. Physical Development  

2. Intellectual Development  

3. Social Development  

4. Emotional Development  

5. Moral Development  

So, what is sustainable development? Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The best strategy which you can access is sustainable development, because all organizations are built for this kind of development. So, when you approach any organization or person, whether educational, job-oriented, or even an individual resource for starting anything, always try to develop a career that is sustainable. So that there will be footprints of your career development. When you move ahead with your career goals, always try to give values for the above five categories because they are the parameters that are going to help you sustain your career. You can access any type of plan or make your own path to reaching the goal. You may be able to develop the best career with your high-quality goal plans, but if you fail to develop from within yourself with all other parameters, then there will be no changes in the future. There will not be new bright lights in your life. So always try to acquire the best career development strategy as an individual who is going to commit to it.    

Career advancement includes the progression of one’s career. The progressions are based on individuals. They include the following options:  

1. Post-Graduation  

2. Promotion  

3. Expansion  

4. New investments  

When you think about career advancement, the first thing you must ask yourself is whether it is needed or not. If you get post-graduation, what are you going to get other than what you have now? If you get promoted from your current position, how is it going to benefit you? Do you want to expand your business to the next level so that you can make more profit? Do you want to make any new investments based on your experience or not? As you can see, all these are the next steps in your career. Already, you have what you need, and do you want more? I would like to note something that is very important when you are wishing for this, which is like a game in which you passed one level and now you are on the second level. Advancement in a career is like passing the first level of the game and going to the second level. So, if you can’t advance in your career, then do not try to stop career development because the system in which all this is happening is designed to play well to sustain itself. A better understanding of what you are trying to pursue makes everything sensible and successful. If it is not known to you, then you are going to hear very opposite words about advancement in your career, and your career development path will change in the wrong direction. Knowledge is everything to achieve, and a stronger mindset is the key to keeping it with you for your entire life.
