7.Sensory rest
The type of rest that we give to our senses is called sensory rest. If you are continuously working with your eyes by looking at a screen, then they will get strained. So, giving rest to the senses can improve their qualities without strain.

1.Physical rest
The rest that we give to our physical body is called physical rest. This can be done by sleeping, lying down, taking a break to do nothing, or doing very gentle movements with the body.
2.Mental rest
The rest that we give to our mind is called mental rest. The mind is working with the body to make decisions about what to do next. Meditation or deviating the mind from the work can be done for mental rest.
3.Emotional rest
This is a type of rest that we give to our emotions. Emotions like sadness, happiness, anger, etc. can make a human restless. In those moments, this type of rest is needed.
4.Spiritual rest
The rest that is given to the soul of a human is called spiritual rest. Activities that are connected to God or spirituality are included in this type of rest. This type of rest can provide more concentration and make the soul purer.
Is Rest Necessary or Not?
The life of a human is a combination of body and soul. When a body works for a long time, it gets tired and becomes inefficient to continue the work. But still, the soul will be energetic, and it will not become tired. So when a body needs rest, at the same time, the soul may not need it. This conflict between body and soul makes someone restless or weak enough to continue to do something efficiently. So, when we think about taking rest and how to do it, our mind may say that it is not necessary because the soul is not tired, but when the mind takes a moment to check whether something wrong is happening anywhere inside the body, it will tell the conscious mind to stop the work and take rest. The type of rest that has to be taken completely depends upon the type of work that is being done, regardless of age or any other parameter. It is better to approach intelligently to decide which type is needed at the moment.
